How can an empty space be transformed into an exhibition about the Moon? How can a public square, a museum, a conference centre or a venue covering more than 2,000 square metres be turned into a complete space experience?
After years of developing activities, exhibitions, technologies and content related to science and space exploration, at Nubalo Studios – SpaceRobotics.EU Division we have brought together our expertise to offer something that goes far beyond simply renting individual elements for an event: we design, produce, install and operate complete, fully customised space experiences.
We can start with an almost empty venue and, in just a few hours, transform it into a themed environment covering more than 2,000 m², combining exhibitions, science outreach, entertainment, technology and activities for different types of audiences.
Each project can be fully adapted to the event and built around themes such as space exploration, the Solar System, astronauts, rockets and spacecraft, Spain’s role in space, or the Universe.

A Space Event Is Not Just an Exhibition: It Is an Experience
Our goal is for visitors to do much more than simply walk through a series of information panels.
We want them to be able to enter an exhibition, use an interactive screen, drive a rover, virtually walk on the Moon, take a photograph on Mars, meet an astronaut, take part in astronaut training, participate in an experiment, build something with their own hands, attend a science show and finally take home a souvenir from the SpaceShop.
To achieve this, we can combine a wide range of formats and technologies within the same space.
We create exhibitions and scale models, including satellite replicas up to 1:1 scale, rovers, rockets, space stations and spacecraft. These elements can be static, interactive or even robotic, and our experience includes creating exhibitions for space agencies, museums, research centres and events.
Around these elements, we can build an entire experience.
Travelling to the Moon and Mars through Virtual Reality
One of our main areas of development is Virtual Reality.
Our own team in Spain has created experiences that allow visitors, among many other possibilities, to walk on the Moon during Apollo 11, drive a rover during Apollo 17, explore different environments on Mars, visit space environments, approach comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, deploy a satellite, or discover possible future scenarios on the Moon and Mars.
These experiences can be used with different VR systems and complemented by physical walking platforms or driving systems with seats and joysticks, significantly increasing the sense of immersion.
But we can also turn Virtual Reality into a collective experience.
Our VR 360 session system allows up to 500 participants to take part simultaneously, using their own mobile phones and Cardboard viewers while a live presenter guides and controls the experience.
Suddenly, hundreds of people can be travelling together to another planet.
Augmented Reality, Holograms and Interactive Experiences
Technology also allows the physical and digital worlds to coexist within the same space.
We can incorporate Augmented Reality into exhibitions, photocalls and physical objects, as well as develop interactive projections and experiences accessible through mobile devices.
We can also add glasses-free holograms, three-dimensional space content, interactive screens and games.
Interactive experiences are designed around the theme of each event to complement the exhibition and allow visitors to explore information at their own pace. Scientific content is reviewed by engineers and astrophysicists.
We can also incorporate spectacular LED spheres to represent the Earth, the Moon, Mars, other planets, atmospheres, exoplanets or Earth observation data, with the possibility of interacting with them through a touchscreen.

Realidad virtual, realidad aumentada, hologramas, software, simuladores, pantallas interactivas, videojuegos, esferas LED y contenidos multimedia.

Astronauts, Characters, Science and Space Training
But technology is only one part of the experience.
People are what truly bring an event to life.
We can create astronaut training areas, aerospace engineering workshops, robotics activities, rocket launches, laboratories, hands-on construction workshops, interactive talks and science shows.
We can also incorporate astronauts, science communicators and characters who accompany visitors throughout the experience, giving the journey its own story rather than simply presenting a sequence of independent activities.
This allows us to design events specifically for children, families, students or adult audiences, or to create different levels of experience within the same venue.
From a Photograph on Mars to a Souvenir from the Event
We also want part of the experience to continue even after visitors leave the venue.
We can install physical and virtual photocalls, Augmented Reality photocalls, or green-screen experiences, allowing visitors to appear in different space environments and then receive and share the resulting images.
We can also add a SpaceShop tailored to the event, offering products related to science, astronomy and space exploration.
In this way, the exhibition, the experience and the souvenir all become part of the same concept.
Sound, Lighting, Lasers and Special Effects
When the format allows, we can take the atmosphere and immersion even further.
Music, lighting, lasers, smoke, wind, rain, snow, special effects, projection mapping onto buildings or stages, and automated effects synchronised with music can all become part of the event design.
The same space can be completely transformed depending on the time of day or the programme: it can operate as an exhibition for several hours and later become a stage for a presentation, live show or immersive audiovisual experience.
We Also Create the Content and Software
One of our main advantages is that a significant part of the technology and content can be developed specifically for each project.
Our team works with 360° video, 4K and 8K content, 3D animation, holographic content and three-dimensional experiences, using professional tools for 3D creation, video production, engineering and interactive development.
We also develop mobile applications, video games, engineering software and websites, allowing each event to have its own digital extension before, during and after it takes place.
This enables us to create fully customised experiences rather than relying exclusively on existing off-the-shelf products.
More Than 2,000 m² Transformed in a Single Weekend, with Custom Interactive Experiences
All this experience and expertise allow us to take on projects of very different scales.
We can design a single activity for a small area or plan the complete transformation of spaces covering more than 2,000 square metres, organising the venue into different areas: exhibitions, stages, workshops, astronaut training, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, interactive experiences, photocalls, children’s areas, shows, large decorative elements and a SpaceShop.
We can install large-scale configurations in less than a week, depending on the specific characteristics and requirements of each project.
The key is having many of the necessary capabilities within the same team: design, engineering, manufacturing, software, multimedia, 3D, interactivity and science communication.
Example of an Event in a Sports Hall That We Completely Transformed
From a Corporate Event to a Temporary Exhibition
There is no single format.
We can design experiences for companies and corporate events, ranging from family days to technology presentations, anniversaries, conferences and communication or outreach events.
We can work with local councils and public administrations to transform public squares, cultural centres, sports halls, pavilions or municipal venues into temporary spaces dedicated to science and space exploration.
We can collaborate with space agencies, universities and research centres to present missions, technologies and scientific results in an engaging and accessible way for the general public.
We can also create complete temporary exhibitions for museums and science centres, or incorporate new interactive experiences into existing exhibitions.
Our experience in scale models and exhibitions includes projects specifically developed for space agencies, museums, research centres and events.
Events That Return Every Year
There are also scientific events and special occasions that provide an extraordinary opportunity to create recurring experiences that can evolve year after year.
Science Week, the European Researchers’ Night, the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, anniversaries of space missions, major launches, astronomical events, open days and themed science weeks can all become events that grow and change every year.
And over the next few years, there will be one particularly important astronomical highlight: eclipses.
An eclipse-themed event can combine Sun-Earth-Moon workshops, safe solar observation, astronomy activities, science shows, planetariums, hands-on construction, children’s activities, Virtual Reality, talks, exhibitions and dedicated observation areas.
In this way, the science actually happening in the sky becomes the central theme connecting the entire event.
A Different Event for Every Client
We do not want to create a single event and simply repeat it.
A company may want a spectacular one-day experience for hundreds of employees. A local council may need several days of activities for families. A space agency may want to explain a new mission. A museum may need a three-month temporary exhibition. A shopping centre may be looking for a themed campaign. And an educational institution may need a large-scale STEAM event.
That is why the space and its content can be fully customised according to the type of event, selecting and combining the experiences that make the most sense for each individual project.
From an Empty Venue to Another World
Our approach is based on a simple idea: rather than bringing a few individual activities to an event, we create the entire event.
We design the space. We create the content. We manufacture physical elements. We install exhibitions and scale models. We develop software and interactive experiences. We incorporate Virtual and Augmented Reality. We create workshops and shows. We add characters, astronauts and science communicators. We design photography and souvenir areas. And we use lighting, sound and special effects to transform the environment.
Everything is connected by a common theme: science, technology and space exploration.
Because a 2,000-square-metre venue can simply be an empty space.
Or, just a few days later, it can become the Moon, Mars, a space base or a gateway to the Universe.
